Zebra Story: The Happy Striped Zebra
Once upon a time, there was a zebra with the most beautiful stripes, dressed in a pattern of black and white. Not only was it beautiful, but it was also very happy. You might wonder, why was it so happy? Well, let’s listen together…
“Clippity-clop, clippity-clop, I am a happy striped zebra, driving my little car, cheerfully hitting the road!” The striped zebra drove its pretty little car around, singing as it went, and its song traveled far, far away.
Oh dear! Look ahead, who’s blocking the road? Isn’t that the chubby pig? What’s going on? His wheelbarrow full of grain bags has toppled over.
“Hey, chubby pig, are you delivering grain for your mom?” “But my grain is too heavy, and my wheelbarrow broke under the weight!”
“Ah, missing a wheel, huh? No problem, take one of the wheels from my little car!” said the zebra, as it gave one of its car’s wheels to the chubby pig. With the wheel, the pig’s wheelbarrow could move again.
And as for the striped zebra? It turned its little car into a tricycle and drove off happily, still singing its cheerful song. It hadn’t gone far when it met the hefty Ding-Dong brother.
“Hefty Ding-Dong brother, how are you? Hop on my tricycle, let’s go for a ride together!”
So Ding-Dong brother joined the striped zebra, and they drove off together. When they reached the edge of the forest, they saw Mama Cat sitting by the roadside, looking worried.
“Mama Cat, what’s wrong? Weren’t you going to take your kitten to the forest sports day? It’s getting late, you don’t want to be late!”
“But look at our kitten’s stroller, one of the wheels is stuck and won’t move at all.”
“This is terrible! The sports day is about to start, and your kitten’s gymnastics are so good! It would be a shame to miss it. Don’t worry, Mama Cat, take my wheel! Attach this wheel, and the stroller will work again. Hurry, the sports day is about to begin.”
“Striped Zebra, you are so kind, but what about us now?”
“Hefty Ding-Dong brother, don’t worry! Our tricycle can still move with two wheels. A two-wheeler is still good enough, isn’t it?”
So, the happy striped zebra drove off on its two-wheeler, taking Ding-Dong brother along. They sang loudly along the way, and everyone who saw them said, “Wow, they look like the happiest people in the world.” Later on, they came across Grandpa Goat, whose wheelchair was broken. Grandpa Goat wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t get home. In the end, the striped zebra and Ding-Dong brother kindly gave one of their wheels to Grandpa Goat.
“Striped Zebra, our two-wheeler has turned into a unicycle, but it’s still good enough, right?”
And so, the happy striped zebra rode off on its unicycle with Ding-Dong brother, still singing their joyful song. Later on, they encountered Little Yellow Dog, who was worried because the wheel on his train had broken, and his train full of wood was waiting to be delivered to the factory for processing. The striped zebra gave its last wheel to Little Yellow Dog. Now, the striped zebra’s pretty little car had no wheels left at all. But look, it was still holding onto the steering wheel as if nothing had changed, walking along and singing, “I am a happy striped zebra, la la la!”
Children, the story is over. How many wheels did the striped zebra’s pretty little car have left at the end? Was it always happy? Do you understand now?
