Wolf Story for Childen: A Silly Wolf Goes to School

There was a silly wolf who got bored staying alone in the forest and decided to go to school. There are so many children at school, it must be a lot of fun.

The silly wolf came to school, sat among the children, and listened to the teacher’s lesson.

In the first class, the teacher was teaching words. The teacher wrote the characters “apple” on the blackboard with a red chalk and told everyone, “This is an apple.”

“No, it’s not. Apples are round, red, and sweet,” the silly wolf objected first.

“Yes, the silly wolf is right. We’ve all eaten apples, we know what they look like,” all the other children said in unison.

“These are the characters ‘apple’, not a real apple,” the teacher said angrily.

“Why is an apple not a real apple?” the silly wolf asked again.

“Yes, if it’s not a real apple, what’s the point of learning it?” the other children echoed.

“It’s hard to explain to you. Let’s not learn words, let’s tell a story instead!” the teacher said.

So, the teacher started telling the story of Little Red Riding Hood. The children listened quietly and attentively, but suddenly a sharp voice protested angrily, “No, that’s all lies. I never ate Little Red Riding Hood.”

“Maybe it was your dad who did it,” a child said.

“My dad wouldn’t do such a thing!”

“Maybe it was your grandpa?”

“Or maybe your great-grandpa?”

The silly wolf thought about it and stopped speaking because he really didn’t know whether his grandpa or great-grandpa had done something bad like eating Little Red Riding Hood.

The teacher originally wanted to tell the silly wolf that stories are not necessarily true, but feared he wouldn’t understand. So, the teacher said, “Alright, we’re not telling stories now, let’s go to PE class instead!”

The silly wolf and the children went to the big playground and lined up on the track. The teacher told everyone to run, and whoever ran the fastest would be the best in sports.

“Ready, go!”

As soon as the teacher gave the command, the silly wolf shot forward like an arrow. He forgot to turn at the corner of the track, so he ran straight across the playground, over the field, and back into the forest.
