Wolf Stories: Can the Big Bad Wolf Become a Good Wolf?
A big bad wolf fell into a trap and struggled greatly to climb out. However, one of its legs was crippled, and it couldn’t run anymore. The big bad wolf found a thick branch to use as a crutch.
With a crutch, the big bad wolf could no longer bully the small animals in the grass as it used to. Hungry, it came to a large elm tree and slowly sat down.
“Isn’t that the big bad wolf? How did it become crippled?” a little white rabbit asked its good friend, the little goat, as they passed by.
“It serves him right!” the little goat said angrily. “He fell into a trap and ended up like this.”
“Oh, that’s pitiful!” the little white rabbit said.
“You pity him?” the little goat said, even angrier. “Do you know how many small animals he’s eaten?”
“But now that it’s crippled, how will it live in the future?” the little white rabbit asked.
“To avoid starving to death, it will have to eat grass and wild fruits!” the little goat answered.
“If that’s the case, it won’t harm us anymore!” the little white rabbit said.
“Who would believe that?” the little goat shook its head.
The little goat and the little white rabbit walked away, and the big bad wolf heard their conversation. “Sigh, it seems I have to survive on grass and wild fruits!” the big bad wolf said sadly to itself.
The big bad wolf slowly stood up, leaned on its crutch, and continued walking. It was really starving and actually ate some grass and a few wild fruits, finding them quite tasty.
“If that’s the case, can I become a good wolf?” the big bad wolf asked itself.
After thinking for a long time, the big bad wolf nodded and said to itself, “I will become a good wolf. I must make the little animals believe that I can do it!”
