Two Rainbows
Grandma Bear was sick. Kind-hearted Grandma Bear had once made a sun hat for Little Fox, a large flower crown for Little Pig, and had done many other good deeds for the other animals. Now that Grandma Bear was ill, how could everyone not be worried about her?
Little Fox brought Grandma Bear a jar of honey to help her nourish herself. Little Pig brought Grandma Bear a bottle of mineral water so she could drink it whenever she was thirsty.
Uncle Frog came to visit Grandma Bear, and Grandma Bear said, “I want to see a rainbow. The rainbow is the most beautiful thing in the world, and whoever sees it will find happiness. But I may not be able to see one again.” Uncle Frog comforted her, saying, “Don’t worry, you will see a rainbow, and you will find happiness.”
As Uncle Frog left Grandma Bear’s house, he thought to himself, “I’ve heard that a beautiful rainbow has seven colors and spans across the sky. How can I make sure Grandma Bear sees a rainbow?” Uncle Frog finally came up with a great idea: “I may not have the power to make a rainbow appear in the sky, but I can plant colorful flowers on the ground, making it as beautiful as a rainbow in the sky.”
Uncle Frog planted a rainbow of flowers outside Grandma Bear’s window using all kinds of colorful blooms. Then, he shouted toward Grandma Bear’s window, “Grandma Bear, open your window quickly!”
Grandma Bear saw the flower rainbow that Uncle Frog had created, and she smiled happily, saying, “Ah! It looks exactly like the rainbow I dreamed of, it’s so beautiful.”
At that moment, a rainbow also appeared in the sky. Grandma Bear, looking at the two rainbows, clapped her hands in delight.
Grandma Bear saw the rainbow, and her illness miraculously healed! Uncle Frog, Little Fox, and Little Pig were all overjoyed.
