Tomatoes Growing on the Head
One day, Spotted Pig was taking a walk in the lavender field when he suddenly encountered a fox mother and her daughter.
The fox mother kindly said to Spotted Pig, “Spotted Pig, I need to go out to handle an urgent matter. Can I ask you to look after my little fox?”
Spotted Pig looked at the cute little fox and nodded.
The fox mother left. Spotted Pig played hide-and-seek and other games with the little fox in the lavender field, and they had a great time!
When the sun was about to set, the fox mother returned. Seeing the little fox’s happy face, she said with satisfaction, “Thank you, Spotted Pig. Here’s a tomato for you to eat.”
Spotted Pig ate the sweet and sour tomato and found it delicious!
The next morning, Spotted Pig felt itchy on the top of his head. He touched it with his hand and, to his surprise, found something there. He went to look in the mirror. Ah, a little sprout had grown on his head!
“It must be because my hair was dirty, and a seed got stuck in it,” Spotted Pig thought. He hurried to wash his head, but instead of being washed away, the sprout grew even faster after drinking plenty of water.
Spotted Pig tried to pull out the sprout, but it wouldn’t budge. He was terrified, “How can a sprout grow on my head? I’ve become a freak.”
Afraid his friends would laugh at him, Spotted Pig didn’t dare to go out during the day.
Gray Rabbit saw the sprout on Spotted Pig’s head and laughed, “Are you getting ready for a costume party? You look so cute!”
“It grew out of my head. Please help me pull it out,” Spotted Pig said, embarrassed.
Gray Rabbit was very surprised. She tried to pull out the sprout on Spotted Pig’s head, but it wouldn’t budge.
Little Black Bear saw the sprout on Spotted Pig’s head and was so shocked his eyes almost popped out.
“Little Black Bear, please help me pull out the sprout on my head,” Spotted Pig said, almost in tears.
Little Black Bear tried to pull out the sprout but only ended up hurting Spotted Pig without pulling the sprout out.
On the third day, many yellow flowers bloomed on the sprout.
On the fourth day, red tomatoes appeared on the sprout.
Spotted Pig finally realized that what had grown on his head was a tomato plant. But why did a tomato plant grow on his head?
“Let’s taste these tomatoes!” Little Black Bear and Gray Rabbit each picked a tomato, washed it, and started eating.
“How do they taste?” Spotted Pig asked nervously.
“So delicious! So delicious!” Little Black Bear and Gray Rabbit said happily.
Spotted Pig picked one and tasted it himself. Oh, it tasted exactly the same as the one the fox mother had given him. Spotted Pig smiled happily.
“I want to share the tomatoes on my head with everyone,” Spotted Pig said as he headed out.
Along the way, Pipi Dog, Dandan Cat, and Tiaotiao Monkey all got to eat the sweet tomatoes, and they didn’t want to leave Spotted Pig.
When the last tomato was eaten by Huahua Chicken, everyone suddenly noticed that the sprout on Spotted Pig’s head was slowly shrinking.
Finally, the sprout disappeared completely. Pipi Dog said, “Spotted Pig, you’re so lucky to have something like this happen to you! I want a sprout on my head too.”
“I want one too! I want one too!” the other friends said.
“Then let’s go find the fox mother together,” Spotted Pig said happily.
Children, the story is over. The tomatoes on Spotted Pig’s head are gone. Did you guess it right?
