Three Mouse Brothers Make Perfume
In the garden, there was a small three-story house where three mouse brothers lived. The eldest mouse lived on the first floor, the middle mouse lived on the second floor, and the youngest mouse lived on the third floor.
Every day, the eldest mouse would see the grass from his window. The eldest mouse always said, “Thank you, grass, for giving me so much green every day.”
Every day, the middle mouse would see flowers from his window. The middle mouse always said, “Thank you, flowers, for giving me so much fragrance every day.”
Every day, the youngest mouse would see leaves from his window. The youngest mouse always said, “Thank you, leaves, for giving me so much dew every day.”
One day, the eldest mouse said, “Let’s make perfume.”
The eldest mouse brought green juice squeezed from grass, the middle mouse collected the fragrance from flowers, and the youngest mouse brought dew from the leaves.
They set up a big pot and simmered it all day long.
They took a big stick and stirred it a thousand times.
The perfume was made.
When the animals in the forest smelled the perfume from the house, they lined up to buy it.
The eldest mouse said, “These perfumes are not for sale.” The middle mouse said, “We are giving them away.” The youngest mouse said, “Just remember, this is ‘Mouse Brand’ perfume.”
So, every animal in the forest used Mouse Brand perfume.
