The Wolf Mother’s Invisibility Hat Story
The Wolf Mother had three sons.
The eldest little wolf had a big black nose, which made him look a bit ugly.
The second little wolf had a pair of tiny ears, which also made him look a bit ugly.
The youngest little wolf had a pair of tiny eyes, which made him look a bit ugly too.
The three little wolves all looked a bit ugly, and they were very sad about it.
The Wolf Mother said, “Sons, don’t worry, I’ll give each of you an invisibility hat. That way, no one will be able to see you!”
With their invisibility hats, what did the three sons decide to do?
The eldest little wolf went to a children’s food store. Oh, the fried cakes smelled so good, and the chocolate was so sweet! “Since no one can see me, there’s no reason not to take some!” So he took four fried cakes and eight pieces of chocolate.
The second little wolf, wearing his invisibility hat, went to the riverbank. The wooden bridge was broken and unstable, but an old man carrying firewood was about to cross it. “I’ll get into the water and support the bridge so the old man doesn’t fall!” The second little wolf wasn’t afraid of the cold water and got in to support the bridge, allowing the old man to cross safely.
The youngest little wolf, wearing his invisibility hat, went to the farm. The farmer was pushing a plow, and his wife was pulling it, both of them struggling. The wife was almost too tired to continue. The youngest little wolf thought, “I’ll help her pull the plow!”
With the invisible little wolf’s help, the wife suddenly felt as if she had gained a lot of strength, and the plowing went as quickly as the wind.
In the evening, the three sons returned home to see their mother.
The eldest little wolf brought back fried cakes and chocolate. The second little wolf came back empty-handed and had wet pant legs. The youngest little wolf also came back empty-handed and had worn-out shoulders. All three sons said the invisibility hats were wonderful.
But the mother said, “I’m going to take one of the invisibility hats back.”
