The Watermelon Monster

Summer had arrived, and Brother Pig Lala and Brother Pig Dudu were on their way to Grandma’s house. They passed by a watermelon field. The sight of the big watermelons made their mouths water.

“Ah, brother, come and look, there’s a super big watermelon here!” Dudu shouted excitedly.

“Where?” Lala quickly ran over. “Wow, this watermelon is bigger than us!”

“How do we eat something this big?” Dudu said, wiping the drool from his mouth.

“Watch me!” Lala picked up a sharp, big rock and smashed it against the watermelon…

Haha, the watermelon split in half, and its juice flowed out like a little stream. Lala ate one half, and Dudu ate the other half. They ate so much that their bellies were as round as balls.

“Boom!” Thunder roared, and it started to rain. Dudu said to Lala, “Brother, it’s raining, what should we do?”

“No worries, we have umbrellas,” Lala said with a smile.

“Umbrellas? We didn’t bring any!” Dudu said, confused.

“Yes, we did! Look!” Lala put the empty watermelon rind on his head.

“Haha, it’s a watermelon rind umbrella!” Dudu also put a piece of watermelon rind on his head.

The raindrops hit the watermelon rinds, making a pleasant “ding dong ding dong” sound, and the rinds smelled sweet and fragrant. After a while, the rain stopped, and the sun came out. The brothers arrived at the riverside.

“Brother, there’s no boat, how do we cross the river?”

“We have a boat!” Lala patted the watermelon rind, placed it in the water, and jumped on. The brothers paddled the watermelon rind boat across the river and arrived at a small forest.

Once they passed through the forest, they would reach Grandma’s house. Just then, they saw a big lion from a distance.

“Ah, brother, I’m scared! The lion is coming!” Dudu was so frightened that he wet his pants.

“Don’t be afraid, I have a way to scare it off!” Lala calmly said. He made three big holes in the watermelon rind, put it on his head, and made a scary sound, “Haha, the Watermelon Monster is here!”

Dudu was startled at first, then burst into laughter and did the same.

As the lion walked closer, it suddenly saw two watermelon monsters with big, bloody mouths running towards it. The lion turned and ran away, shouting, “Help! Watermelon monsters!”

“Haha, we scared the lion away! Yay!” Lala and Dudu threw away the watermelon rinds and happily walked hand in hand to Grandma’s house.
