The Rabbit Hires a Housekeeper

Rabbit Miro lived alone in a small wooden house. It was a very beautiful house, with crescent-shaped walls, a crescent-shaped door, and crescent-shaped windows. Green vines made into curtains filled the room with a lively atmosphere.

Staying in the room, Miro noticed that the floor was dirty, the clothes hanging on the rack were dirty, and her stomach was growling with hunger.

“I don’t want to mop the floor, wash the clothes, or cook myself. Those are such tiring things,” Miro said to herself.

Miro decided to hire a housekeeper.

Who would be the best housekeeper? They need to mop the floor, wash the clothes, and cook. Surely, it has to be someone strong and quick. At the forest housekeeper market, Miro brought home Jim Bear, who wore glasses.

Jim Bear was very strong. His mopping movements were large and noisy, scaring Miro into quickly hiding on the hammock near the window.

Jim Bear worked enthusiastically, sweating so much that his glasses were foggy, and he didn’t even have time to wipe them.

“Hey—” With a sweep of Jim Bear’s mop, Miro was thrown out of the hammock and out the window.

“What is this? It’s blocking my mopping!” Jim Bear shouted, “Miro, come and see, get this thing out of here; it’s in my way.”

Outside the window, Miro got up from the ground, rubbing her sore bottom, and said, “Goodness, you’ve already kicked me out of my own home!”

Miro dismissed Jim Bear.

Learning from the previous experience, Miro didn’t dare to hire another strong housekeeper. She looked and looked again at the forest housekeeper market, choosing carefully, and finally brought Miss Mouse, who walked lightly, home.

“Here, take these forest coins and go buy some food to prepare dinner,” Miro said.

Miss Mouse moved very quickly and soon had a sumptuous dinner laid out on the dining table, waking Miro from her hammock nap.

Miss Mouse picked up a carrot, handed it to Miro, and said, “This is my dish, a delicious carrot.”

Seeing the delicious carrot, Miro was very happy. She took a bite, and with a crunching sound, one of her teeth broke.

“What kind of carrot is this? It’s so hard!” Miro was angry.

Miss Mouse quickly said, “I… I made ribs look like carrots…”

“You only know how to eat meat!” Miro screamed, “I want vegetables and carrots!”

Miss Mouse apologized while saying, “I’ll prepare vegetables and carrots right away, and make sure there’s vegetables and carrots at every meal from now on.”

Seeing the clever and cute Miss Mouse, Miro couldn’t bear to send her away and decided to let her stay.

At night, while Miro was sleeping, she kept hearing the sounds of “crunch, crunch, crunch,” which continued until dawn.

In the morning, sunlight streamed into Miro’s room from every corner of the small wooden house.

“Ah, why is there sunlight everywhere?” Miro felt very strange, “I only opened one window!”

It turned out that Miss Mouse had spent the whole night gnawing, creating countless small holes in Miro’s wooden house, and the mischievous sunlight had crept in through these small holes.

“You chewed on my wooden house last night. Tonight, you’ll chew on my hammock,” Miro said angrily and dismissed Miss Mouse.

Miro hurried to the house repair company to find a skilled worker to fix her small wooden house.

Will Miro hire another housekeeper? This time, who will it be?
