The Mouse Family
In the big forest, there lived many, many little mice. They were all very small, and most of them were incredibly cute. Since they lived in the forest, people called them “forest mice.”
Have you ever seen them? Those adorable little creatures. Some are brown, some gray, and some white. Because they hide so well, you don’t often see them in the forest.
They’re a bit afraid of adults, and also of children. To them, all humans are just too big! These terrifying giants must be very dangerous.
Of course, this is just what the mice think. It’s not easy to find the little mice, but they’re there! There might even be one scurrying right under your feet. They dig narrow tunnels everywhere — under the ground in the forest, under the floors of your house, they’re everywhere.
The mice in the big forest all live in a large house, and they each have their own little rooms. There are also many rooms for everyone to use together. From the outside, you can’t see their house; it’s underground, dug by the mice themselves, and they named it the “Great Mouse Hole”!
The mice are playing outside right now, and they’re having so much fun! When it starts to get dark, they quickly run back to their hole, and now, you can’t see a single mouse anymore.
