The Little Snail Climbs the Mountain
The little snails learned something—what was it? They heard from their neighbor, the little ant, that there was a very tall mountain to the east, and on top of the mountain, there was a very, very beautiful view.
The little snails wanted to see the wonderful view, so they slowly started climbing up. After nearly half an hour, they still hadn’t reached the top.
One little snail thought, “If we keep struggling to climb up and there’s nothing at the top, what will we do?” So it stopped. The other snails saw this one stop, and they also stopped.
In the end, only one little snail was left. It was the smallest and weakest, and climbed the slowest, falling behind the others. It kept climbing slowly, and when it reached the top, it found that there really was a beautiful view! It played and played, all the way until 1 p.m.
