The Little Dragonfly Who Became a Champion
In the mosquito-catching competition of the Grassland Kingdom, the little dragonfly achieved excellent results and won the championship. The little dragonfly was very happy, but his good friends did not yet know this news. The little dragonfly wanted to quickly share the good news with his friends.
“Little Bee, I won the mosquito-catching championship.” As soon as the award ceremony ended, the little dragonfly couldn’t wait to go to Little Bee’s house and excitedly shared the good news.
Little Bee still had a lot of nectar to collect and was very busy. He didn’t pay much attention to the little dragonfly’s words and just softly responded with a “hmm.”
The little dragonfly thought, as his good friend, Little Bee should congratulate him no matter what, how could he be so indifferent? The little dragonfly was disappointed with Little Bee’s reaction and left with a pout.
The little dragonfly went to the garden and found Little Butterfly, vividly telling him the news of winning the championship.
Little Butterfly had caught a cold and was about to see the doctor. He had a severe headache and just softly said, “Oh.”
The little dragonfly didn’t expect Little Butterfly to be so lukewarm either, feeling very aggrieved, he then told Little Grasshopper the news.
“Waah… waah…” Little Grasshopper was crying sadly because his rag doll had a hole in it. He didn’t even look at the little dragonfly, just kept crying.
“Don’t worry, I’ll help you fix it.” The little dragonfly took out a handkerchief to wipe Little Grasshopper’s tears, comforting him while pulling him to find needle and thread, and helped him sew up the rag doll.
Soon, the little dragonfly had fixed the rag doll.
“Thank you! But, what did you say just now?” Little Grasshopper, no longer sad, remembered the little dragonfly’s words.
“I won the mosquito-catching championship,” the little dragonfly said softly.
“Congratulations, mosquito-catching champion!” Little Grasshopper picked a bunch of wildflowers and presented them to the little dragonfly, “Do Little Bee and Little Butterfly know this good news?”
“They know, but…” The little dragonfly thought for a moment and decided to go with Little Grasshopper to find Little Bee and Little Butterfly. This time, he didn’t mention winning the championship but instead accompanied Little Butterfly to see the doctor and helped Little Bee carry the nectar bucket, making it faster for Little Bee to collect nectar…
After finishing all this, Little Bee, Little Butterfly, and Little Grasshopper gathered many little friends and held a grand celebration on the grass. Needless to say, you must have guessed that it was held for the little dragonfly.
