The Little Bear Goes to Gather Honey

When he woke up, the little bear found that he had turned into a bee. He felt a bit out of sorts, but with wings that let him fly around, the little bear was also excited.

“Why aren’t you going to gather honey yet?” asked another bee.

“I’m on my way to gather honey now,” the little bear said. He flew and flew until he reached a field of flowers and began to collect honey.

By the end of the day, though tired, the little bear was very happy looking at the honey he had gathered. Just as he was about to get a good night’s sleep, the beehive suddenly began to shake. A bee said, “Oh no, another bear is here to steal our honey!” A small brown bear was holding the beehive and running away. The little bear thought to himself, “It’s my cousin, the one who loves stealing honey the most.” The little bear blushed because he used to steal honey with his cousin quite often.

“But this honey was painstakingly made by the bees, and they don’t even eat it themselves. How can it be stolen?” The little bear felt angry, completely forgetting that he was a bear.

The little bear flew quickly, and his bee stinger jabbed into the small brown bear’s bottom.

“Ouch! My butt!” The small brown bear jumped into the river with a leap.

The little bear flew around the surface of the river a few times and then left. He returned to the flower field and fell asleep in one of the flowers.

When he woke up, the little bear had turned back into a bear. He looked around and saw that he was lying in a field of flowers. When he got home, the little bear told his mother about how he had turned into a bee. His mother laughed and said, “Could it have been just a dream?”

“It definitely wasn’t a dream! If you don’t believe me, let’s go check on my cousin. There must be a big bump on his bottom!”

“Why did you sting your cousin, though?” his mother asked curiously.

“Because he was stealing honey!” the little bear said angrily.

“But haven’t you also stolen honey before?”

The little bear blushed again. “I won’t steal anymore!”

His mother made honey cake, and the little bear asked, “Mom, is this honey stolen from the beehive?”

“I bought it from the department store, not stolen at all!”

Only then did the little bear dig in and eat heartily. After he was full, the little bear decided to go to his cousin’s house to see if there really was a big bump on the small brown bear’s bottom…
