The Journey of Rain: A Light Rain
Two dark, dark clouds were floating in the sky, playing together, moving from the eastern sky all the way to the western sky. But for some reason, the two clouds started arguing. Their quarrel grew fiercer and fiercer, until they collided.
“Rumble!” “Rumble!”
After a flash of lightning and a clap of thunder, ping-pong ball-sized hailstones began to fall densely from the two clouds.
As the hailstones fell, they continued arguing, tussling with each other.
“Crash!” “Crash!”
The hailstones shattered into pieces, turning into peanut-sized ice pellets that continued to fall.
As the ice pellets fell, they kept on arguing, pushing and pulling at each other.
“Pitter-patter!” “Pitter-patter!”
The ice pellets were torn apart, breaking into raindrops the size of soybeans, continuing to fall.
As the raindrops fell, they kept on arguing, angrily pushing and shoving.
“Shush-shush!” “Shush-shush!”
The raindrops exploded with anger, breaking into raindrops the size of grains of sand, continuing to fall.
The tiny raindrops kept falling, but they were too tired to argue anymore, and their faces grew longer and longer. “Drip-drip!” “Drip-drip!”
The raindrops stretched out into fine rain threads, as thin as cow’s hair.
Countless rain threads gently fell on the frogs’ backs, tickling them.
The frogs laughed and croaked: “What a comfortable light rain!”
