The Green Magician
Mischievous Dou came back from playing in the forest, his hands covered in green sap from the leaves. He mischievously spread his hands wide, yelling, “Oh oh oh, I am the Green Magician! I am the Green Magician!”
Pushing open the wooden door at home, Mischievous Dou noticed something strange—the door turned green, and the doorknob transformed into a plump mushroom. The house was a bit dim, so Mischievous Dou ran to pull the curtains. As soon as his fingers touched the cord, the curtains “whoosh,” transformed into a wall of ivy. How curious!
His fingers touched the table, and the table turned green, with green branches sprouting from the surface. When he placed his hand on the chair, it too turned green, with leaves growing from the backrest. When his hand touched the small bed, the bed also turned green, and its four legs grew into four small trees, transforming the bed into a green tent.
Mischievous Dou accidentally touched the light switch, “pop!” the light turned on, emitting a green glow. Interestingly, the lightbulb was no longer a bulb but had become a large pear. A glowing pear—how rare!
“This isn’t real, it must be my imagination…” Mischievous Dou exclaimed, sitting down on the floor in surprise, his hands resting on the floor. Another strange thing happened: “whoosh,” the floor sprouted lush green grass, as if a green carpet had been laid out.
And just like that, all the household items standing against the wall—the coat rack, mop, and broom—turned into little green saplings.
“Oh my goodness! What’s happened to you?” His mother came home and grabbed Mischievous Dou’s hand. Hilariously, his mother immediately turned green. Her hair turned into willow strands, with a beautiful butterfly perched on them.
Yes, the butterfly must have been her hairpin!
His father hugged his mother in amazement, “Dear, you… you look terrifying—no, no, adorable!” As soon as he spoke, his father turned completely green as well. Green eyebrows, green beard, resembling bunches of chives. The pipe in his father’s hand turned into a green lizard.
“Quick, go wash your hands!” his parents urged.
Mischievous Dou ran into the bathroom, where the bathtub was filled with water. He dipped his hands into the tub, and in the blink of an eye, the bathtub turned into a pond, with green water plants and moss growing on the edge. Mischievous Dou reached for the soap dish. “Plop,” it jumped into the pond and turned into a big frog!
Birds chirped as they flew in through the window.
Squirrels, rabbits, and little monkeys hopped and bounced in through the door.
Mischievous Dou’s house had transformed into a real green forest.
Mischievous Dou rolled around on the grassy carpet, filled with joy!
