Romantic tale: Love’s Waiting
He said, “She is my everything. I can’t live without her.”
She said, “Then go and get her back.”
He said, “I can’t. She doesn’t love me anymore.”
She said, “But you still love her, right?”
He said, “Maybe I do.”
The boy smiled helplessly. For the past six months, the girl had been by his side. Gradually, he forgot about the other girl. But then, he fell in love with another girl. Silently, the first girl left his world.
She said, “I’m leaving. Take care of yourself.” Her eyes were red.
He said, “You too.”
The girl left but rented an apartment not far from the boy.
The boy lived a sweet life with his new girlfriend and gradually forgot about the girl who had silently supported him.
One day, the boy had an argument with his girlfriend and drowned his sorrows in alcohol. His girlfriend found him and said, “Let’s break up. I don’t like you anymore. I’ve fallen in love with someone else.” The boy didn’t say anything. As the alcohol took effect, memories of the girl came flooding back.
Every morning, he would see a petite figure downstairs holding his favorite breakfast.
When he played basketball, she would always be there with a bottle of sugar water, waiting for him.
These memories warmed his heart.
He remembered a message the girl had sent him after she left: 7522353. He was puzzled and dialed those numbers. He smiled and said, “Silly girl, I’m sorry. I don’t know if it’s too late now.”
The boy picked up his phone and called the girl. When she answered, he said, “I understand now. I don’t know if I still have a chance.” The girl didn’t speak. The boy said, “Silly girl, I love you.”
He said, “Open the door, I’m at your doorstep.” The girl opened the door and gave the boy a big hug.
May we all have someone in our lives who will never give up on us!
