Pig story for kids: Two Little Pigs Build a House
Mama Pig’s two beloved sons had grown up, and the small house could no longer accommodate them. Mama Pig had no choice but to tell them to go build their own houses. Reluctantly, the brothers nodded their heads.
But they were both too lazy to start working right away. They kept putting it off, day after day.
Finally, Mama Pig got angry and said, “If you don’t go out and build a house, I’ll kick you out.” Even after that, they were still too lazy to move. So she said to the older brother, “You’re the elder, you should help your younger brother build his house first, or I’ll kick you out first.”
The older brother had no choice but to grumble as he started working. However, after just one day, he was utterly exhausted. He grumbled, “Building a house is so tiring and hard! Oh my goodness! It’s killing me.” The more he thought about it, the more tired and discouraged he felt. Suddenly, he had an idea and slapped his forehead, saying, “Anyway, I’m not the one living in it. Why don’t I just take it easy and do a sloppy job?”
As a result, the house the older brother built was crooked and barely livable.
When the younger brother saw the shabby and poorly made house his older brother had built, he was very angry. As soon as the house was finished, he quickly said, “You helped me, now I’ll help you build yours, so just relax and wait!”
The older brother was delighted to hear this, as he was tired. He lay down on the grass and fell fast asleep.
The younger brother, being cunning, built a house for the older brother that looked good on the outside but was actually flimsy and would fall apart with just a little push.
After finishing, he secretly laughed to himself, “Hmph! Since you made such a bad house for me, I’ll let you enjoy the ‘good house’ I built.” And so, the two houses were completed, and Mama Pig came to inspect them.
She saw that the younger brother’s house looked great, while the older brother’s was poorly built. She unhappily said, “Look at your younger brother, how careful he is with his work. But look at the mess you’ve made. That doesn’t even look like a house! You should live in it yourself!”
The older brother blushed and moved into the house he had built, while the younger brother, despite his house’s appearance, didn’t dare go inside.
Just then, the mischievous Wind Brother came by to have some fun. He blew hard, and whoosh! the younger brother’s beautiful house was blown apart. The older brother’s house shook, and the younger brother was almost hit by falling wooden blocks.
Mama Pig immediately understood what had happened. She gave the brothers a stern look. Ashamed, they both hung their heads low. Later, under Mama Pig’s supervision, the brothers worked together to build a new house. This time, they put a lot of effort into it, so no matter how hard Wind Brother blew, the house didn’t budge.
From then on, the two brothers understood the importance of working together, and they lived happily ever after.
Commentary:
You see, the two little pigs didn’t understand the importance of working diligently, and the houses they built couldn’t withstand the wind and rain. But their teamwork in the end is praiseworthy. Children, there is strength in numbers, and only by understanding the power of unity can we achieve miracles.
