Owl bedtime story: The Growing Little Owl

In the night sky, the stars twinkle, and the moon is big and round.

On top of a tall tree on a mountain sit two owls, one big and one small. The little owl looks up and asks, “Mom, why do the stars in the sky keep winking at me?”

The big owl replies, “Because you are so cute, every star wants to get to know you.”

The little owl then asks, “Why does the moon follow me wherever I fly?”

The big owl says, “Because you are so capable, catching so many field mice every night. The moon wants to be friends with you too.”

Hearing his mother’s words, the little owl feels very happy and full of strength. He straightens up, pats his chest, and says, “Mom, don’t worry. Tonight, I can catch field mice by myself. You don’t need to accompany me.”

The big owl smiles, her eyes full of love, “Baby, you have really grown up.”

“With my star friends and moon friend accompanying me, I will never be afraid again.”

After saying this, the little owl shakes his feathers, spreads his wings, and bravely flies toward the distant fields.
