Mouse Story: The Little Mouse is Definitely Going to Be Late
The first rays of morning sunlight quietly slipped into the window, shining on the little mouse’s bed.
On the window lattice hung a string of pink wind chimes, which were tinkling softly, calling out to the little mouse: “The sun is up, time to get up.”
“Don’t make noise, I still want to sleep. My dream isn’t finished yet!” The little mouse turned over and continued to sleep.
The little ant on the windowsill said, “Let it sleep in, today it will definitely be late.”
“Tinkle, tinkle,” the wind chimes sang in the morning breeze.
“Little mouse, hurry and get up, you’re going to be late!” the wind chimes shouted loudly, “All your little friends have gone to kindergarten, only you are still in bed.”
At that moment, the little mouse was dreaming. It dreamt of a little tabby cat pouncing towards it with a “meow,” scaring it into shouting, “Ah—don’t catch me—”
The little mouse lazily got out of bed and drew back the curtains. “Ah, the sun is already so high. I’m definitely going to be late.”
The little mouse hurriedly got dressed, washed its face, brushed its teeth…there was no time for breakfast. It grabbed its backpack and ran out the door.
“Tinkle, tinkle, little mouse, sleeping in, today you’ll definitely be late, definitely be late,” the wind chimes sang in the breeze.
—Warm Reminder—
Little friends going to school should not sleep in, or they will be late. You can place a little alarm clock by your bed. When the alarm rings, get up immediately.
