moonlight party for kids

The breeze gently blew, and the moonlight softly shone into the small room where Dudu and his sister were fast asleep…

“What a beautiful night! Let’s hold a moonlight party!” A voice broke the quiet of the night. Oh, it was Miss Banana speaking.

“Great idea!” The fruits cheered and lined up to jump out of the fruit basket.

“Let’s introduce ourselves first!” Miss Banana began to sing, “I’m Banana, sweet and curved, like a crescent moon boat…”

“How lovely!” the fruits exclaimed.

Next up were Miss Watermelon and Mr. Orange.

The big Miss Watermelon said, “I’m the sweet and juicy watermelon, perfect for quenching thirst in summer!”

“I’m Orange, my flavor is a mix of sweet and sour!” Mr. Orange said as he jumped on top of Miss Watermelon. As Miss Watermelon took a step, Mr. Orange wobbled. They were performing acrobatics!

“How exciting!” Everyone clapped loudly.

“Such noise!” A prickly fellow jumped out of the fruit basket, impatiently saying.

“Are you a cactus?” Miss Banana asked the spiky gentleman.

“I’m not a cactus! I hate parties!” the prickly fellow grumbled.

At that moment, Dudu crawled out from under the table and said, “I’ll tell you all, he’s Mr. Pineapple.”

“Dudu, why aren’t you asleep?” the fruits asked in surprise.

“I got up to go to the bathroom and saw you all having a party. I didn’t want to interrupt, so I kept quiet,” Dudu replied with a smile.

Dudu quietly asked Mr. Pineapple, “Why don’t you like parties?”

Mr. Pineapple, with a sad face, said, “Watermelon is delicious, strawberries are beautiful. But I’m all prickles, and my taste is sour; nobody likes me…”

“Mr. Pineapple, do you think you’re not good enough, so you don’t enjoy the lively party?”

Mr. Pineapple nodded.

“I have an idea.” Dudu ran to the kitchen and brought back a bowl of saltwater.

“What’s this?” Mr. Pineapple asked in confusion.

“I’m saltwater. Mr. Pineapple, if you soak in my embrace for half an hour, you’ll become sweet and sour!” Saltwater said with a smile, “Mr. Pineapple, your flesh is rich in Vitamin C; I admire you!”

“Thank you so much!” Mr. Pineapple smiled brightly.

The fruits all applauded. Then, everyone held hands and began to dance and sing…

The next day, Dudu told his parents and sister about the fruit party.

His parents laughed and said, “You must have been dreaming.”

His sister, believing Dudu’s story was true, pouted and said, “Brother, I really want to see the fruit party! You must wake me up next time!”
