Monkey story for kid: One Becomes Five
One day, as Little Monkey was passing by Uncle Bear’s house, Uncle Bear gave him a big, red peach. Little Monkey didn’t want to eat the peach right away, so he held it carefully and started walking home.
As he walked, Little Monkey came across Little Pig by the river. When Little Pig saw the big, red peach in Little Monkey’s hands, his mouth started watering. “I haven’t had a peach in so long!” Little Pig said.
“Oh, I’ll give you the peach to eat!” Without hesitation, Little Monkey handed the peach to Little Pig.
“Thank you!” Little Pig happily accepted the peach and then took two golden oranges out of his basket. “I’ll give you these two sweet and tangy oranges.”
“Thank you!” Little Monkey said, holding the two oranges as he continued on his way.
When Little Monkey reached the orchard, he met Little Sheep. Seeing the oranges in Little Monkey’s hands, Little Sheep couldn’t help but swallow a bit of saliva and said, “Those sweet and tangy oranges look so delicious!”
“Oh, I’ll give you the oranges to eat!” said Little Monkey as he handed the two oranges to Little Sheep.
“You’re so kind! Thank you!” Little Sheep quickly picked out three big, sweet pears from her basket and gave them to Little Monkey. “These are pears I grew myself, and they’re really sweet!”
“They must be delicious! Thank you so much!”
Holding the three pears, Little Monkey continued on his way home. After a while, he met Little Bear. When Little Bear saw the pears in Little Monkey’s hands, he couldn’t help but swallow and said, “Your pears look so crisp and sweet. I really want to eat them!”
“Oh, I’ll give you the pears to eat!” said Little Monkey as he handed the three pears to Little Bear.
Little Bear was thrilled. He took the pears and immediately picked out four big, red apples from his basket and handed them to Little Monkey. “I’ll give you these four apples. Please take them!”
“Thank you!” Little Monkey said, smiling happily as he smelled the fragrant apples.
Holding the four apples, Little Monkey kept walking. Just as he was about to reach his home, he met Little Hippo. When Little Hippo saw the apples in Little Monkey’s hands, he said, “Those red apples look so sweet. I really want to eat them!”
“Oh, I’ll give you the apples to eat!” said Little Monkey as he handed the four apples to Little Hippo.
Little Hippo was delighted. He took the apples and started munching on them right away. Then he took out five big peaches from his basket and handed them to Little Monkey. “These are freshly picked peaches! They’re so fresh!”
“Oh, thank you!” Little Monkey said, holding the peaches as he walked home. When he set the peaches down, he couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow, my peach has turned from one into five!”
