Prologue
Xiao Ge took a deep drag from his cigarette, gazing out the window. The sound of cooking from the floor above filled the quiet room with a touch of warmth. His heart sank once again as a radiant, star-like smile flashed in his mind. He couldn’t help but smile softly; her smile was still so bright, as if there were no worries in the world.

Chapter 001

Xiao Ge’s grandfather was gravely ill and passed away after nearly half a year. When everything settled at home, Xiao Ge decided to return to the city.
