Love and destiny

A long, long time ago, there lay a woman’s corpse by the seaside. None of the onlookers knew her origin or the cause of her death. The body remained on the beach, and passersby, one after another, looked on with fear and dread; no one dared to step forward. The woman’s body lay there, unclothed, while many people watched from a distance, too scared to approach.

As dusk approached, three men passed by. The first man glanced and then left. The second man saw the body, took off his clothes, and covered the woman. The third man stopped, buried the woman, and said, “Rest in peace, forget everything from this life; I hope you live happily in your next life.”

Entangled in the cycle of reincarnation between past and present lives…

One day, a man walked along a bustling street, crying bitterly. Everyone watched this lonely and helpless man, puzzled by his sorrow.

The man kept muttering, “Why? Why did she leave me when I loved her so much?” He cried, feeling lost and confused.

Tears filled his eyes. As he cried helplessly, an old man with white hair appeared and asked why he was so sad. The man replied, “My girlfriend broke up with me. I loved her so much, but she left me to marry someone else.” The old man smiled and said, “Fate between people cannot be forced.

In this life, she could only love you this much. This is your destiny.” The man asked, “Why?” The old man took out a mirror and told the man, “Look into the mirror; the answer you seek is there. Once you see it, you will understand everything.” The man, puzzled, took the mirror and looked deeply into it.

In the mirror, an ocean appeared, with people walking by the seaside. The scene became clearer, revealing a woman lying on the beach. Her face was pale; it was a corpse, unclothed. People walked by slowly, but no one approached the already decaying body. They only watched from afar, perhaps only seeing fear and disgust.

The poor woman lay there, dead and unburied. As night fell, a man appeared, looked at her, and left. Another man came, saw her, and covered her body with his clothes before leaving.

The third man, seeing the woman’s body, was moved. He used his hands to bury her.

The man, after watching this, fell silent. The old man said, “Did you see it all? This is the cause from your past life, leading to the effect in this life. The woman you love now is the same woman who died by the seaside in the mirror.

In your past life, you saw her unclothed and covered her with your clothes. She has come in this life to repay your kindness with fleeting affection. The man who buried her is the one she is marrying now.”

The man understood everything and silently shed tears while looking at the sky. The old man said, “Everything is arranged by fate. You were destined to meet again in this life because of your past connection. If you love each other but still part ways, do not blame anyone. It only means your bond was not deep enough. The cause in the past life determines the effect in this life.”

“To meet you after a thousand years is due to fate. When love cannot last forever, do not blame the one who hurt you. It is not their intention. When fate comes, it comes; when it goes, let it go.”
