Little Star
In the sky lived many, many little stars. Every evening, they all went to the Milky Way to take a bath. The water in the Milky Way was pure white, just like milk. When the little stars jumped in and bathed, they would emit a bright light, shining beautifully.
One evening, the little stars went to the Milky Way to take a bath again. But as they got closer, they were surprised. What happened? The Milky Way had turned pitch black! It turned out that a large cloud had covered the Milky Way.
“Huh, we can’t take a bath! How can we move such a big cloud?” One little star shook his head in disappointment and left.
The other little stars said, “Yes, let’s go back. Sister Moon is about to tell a story. If we’re late, we’ll miss it!” They all left too.
Only one little star did not go back with everyone. He stood by the shore, thinking about pushing the cloud away. But the cloud was very big, as big as a playground. How could a small star move it?
He came up with an idea! The little star grabbed a small piece of the cloud and pulled hard. He pulled down a small piece of the cloud. After pulling for a while, he finally pulled down a big piece of the cloud, revealing a part of the river. Now, the little star could jump into the water to take a bath. As he bathed, his body began to shine brightly!
The little star was tired and wanted to go back to listen to Sister Moon’s story. But then he thought, “No, this small space is only enough for me. I should remove the entire cloud so that everyone can take a bath.” So, he continued to work. He worked all night long and finally moved away all the clouds.
The next day, the stars in the sky emitted a bright light again because all the little stars had bathed in the Milky Way.
