Stories: Little Fox Lele
Little Fox Lele found it too boring to stay in the palace, so she ran into the forest to make friends with the other animals.
One noon, Little Rabbit was happily playing with Lele, when her mother saw them. She quickly pulled Little Rabbit aside and said, “Foxes are cunning; it will catch you and eat you!”
Upon hearing this, Little Rabbit got very angry and said to Lele, “I thought you were my good friend, but you just want to trick me and eat me!”
Lele calmly explained to Little Rabbit, “It’s not like that, Little Rabbit!”
“You still want to lie to me. I will never play with you again,” said Little Rabbit, trembling with anger. She told her mother, “Mom, let’s go home!”
Mother Rabbit held Little Rabbit’s hand and quickly walked home.
Suddenly, it started raining heavily. Mother Rabbit accidentally fell into a ditch. Little Rabbit was very anxious but refused to ask Little Fox Lele for help, even though she couldn’t find anyone else.
Lele slowly walked towards Little Rabbit.
Little Rabbit bravely shouted, “What do you want to do?”
Without a word, Lele jumped into the river and pushed Mother Rabbit upwards. In this emergency, a wave was about to hit Mother Rabbit. Lele used her own body to block the wave, saving Mother Rabbit. But Little Fox Lele was now lying in bed with a high fever.
Mother Rabbit held Lele and took her to the doctor, feeling deeply grateful. She said to Little Rabbit, “She is still young. Gather your other friends and play with her!”
From then on, Lele had many friends.
