Kid story: Playing with Stars
Xiaohua is a beautiful little dog, dressed in black and white spots, with bright, shiny black eyes.
Right now, Xiaohua is sitting at the doorstep, gazing at the sky. Up in the sky, the stars are waving at him, and he calls out to them, “Stars, come down quickly and play with me.”
The stars reply, “No way! We can’t come down, but you can come up here. It’s so much fun here, you’ll love it.”
Xiaohua is intrigued and says, “Stars, you live so high up, how can I get up there?”
The stars respond, “Think of a way! As long as you are determined, you’ll surely make it here.”
So, Xiaohua begins to think of ways to reach the sky.
He climbs onto the roof and says to the stars, “Friends, I’m coming!”
The stars laugh and say, “The roof is too low, you’re still far from us!”
Xiaohua climbs up a tall tree and shouts to the stars, “Friends, now I’ve reached a high place, right?”
The stars shake their heads and say, “The tree is too short, it’s still not enough!”
Xiaohua then climbs up a high mountain, standing on the peak, he says to the stars, “Good friends, now I’ve really reached your home, right?”
The stars wave and say, “Although the mountain is high, it’s still tens of thousands of miles away from us! Xiaohua, keep thinking of a way to fly!”
Xiaohua thinks of many ways, but none of them succeed.
Suddenly, a spaceship passes by him, and Xiaohua thinks: I can ask the spaceship to help and take me to the sky! So, he calls out, “Spaceship, please stop and take me to the sky to visit my star friends!”
The spaceship stops beside Xiaohua, and in the blink of an eye, he is in the sky. The stars smile and walk toward him. Hand in hand, they dance in the sky. Xiaohua happily says to the stars, “From now on, I’ll often take the spaceship to visit you!”
