Helping Little Hedgehog
As winter approached, little hedgehog Guoguo wanted to gather more food to get through the cold months. So, she climbed up a big tree to pick some walnuts. But suddenly, she slipped and fell with a “thud,” breaking her leg.
Upon hearing the news, the little rabbit said to Guoguo, “Don’t worry, I’ll help you collect food!” The little monkey chimed in, “Don’t be sad, I’m quick and nimble; I’ll help you pick walnuts!” The little kangaroo added, “You can count on me! I’ll make sure to gather lots of food for you!”
Every day, they came to help Guoguo gather food, collecting plenty of hazelnuts, walnuts, and pine nuts. By the Winter Solstice, each of them brought several full bags of food to Guoguo. Gratefully, Guoguo said, “Thank you, everyone! But have you all prepared enough food for your own winter?”
At her reminder, the little deer, little monkey, and little kangaroo froze in surprise. They exclaimed, “Oh no! We were so busy helping Guoguo that we completely forgot about our own food! What are we going to do?”
Hedgehog Guoguo then said, “No worries! You can all come to my home for the winter!” Everyone was delighted to hear this and smiled joyfully.
To help little hedgehog gather food for winter, the little rabbit, little monkey, and little kangaroo forgot about their own supplies. Thanks to Guoguo’s suggestion, the little animals decided to spend the winter together at her home. With each other’s company, life would become richer and more enjoyable.
