Fun stories for kid: The Excavator Looks for Water to Drink
In the city, there was an excavator. One day, the excavator was extremely thirsty and decided to look for water to drink. He walked and walked until he reached the entrance of a cold drink shop. “Saleslady, saleslady, I want to drink water. Please give me a bottle of Sprite!”
The saleslady said, “Cold drinks are for children, excavators can’t drink them…”
“Oh,” the excavator said disappointedly and walked away. He walked and walked until he reached the bank of a small river. The water in the river was flowing swiftly, and there was a happy little fish swimming around in the water.
“Little fish, little fish, hello. Can I drink the water from the river?” the excavator asked. “Haha, the water in the river is for us little fish to swim in, not for you to drink,” the little fish replied.
“Oh, I see,” said the excavator, and he continued walking. The excavator walked to the side of a big road. This road was very busy; there were buses, tractors, cars, and big trucks, all lined up in a queue. He didn’t know what they were doing.
“Uncle Tractor, what are you all doing?” the excavator asked politely. “This is a gas station. We are all here to refuel. Are you thirsty too? Go ahead and get in line to refuel!” said the tractor.
“I see, so when we vehicles are thirsty, we don’t drink water, we refuel!” The excavator happily went to refuel. Not long after, the excavator finished refueling and felt re-energized. He thought, “Hmm, I have grown up. I can’t play every day anymore. I need to find a job!”
