Fun Stories for Bedtime Reading

A little hedgehog stood by the roadside, knowing well that he was clutching a surprise in his palm.

Of course, he didn’t want to keep it to himself.

He wanted to tell every friend who passed by!

The little red horse trotted up with a “clip-clop, clip-clop.”

“Little red horse,” the hedgehog shouted excitedly, “I’ve got a surprise in my palm.”

“Oh, what is it?”

The hedgehog opened his hand to reveal a small, dark round ball.

“This is the surprise you’re talking about?”

“That’s right, little fox said it’s a surprise.”

“Hah, little fox loves to play tricks.” The little red horse shook its mane and trotted away with a “clip-clop, clip-clop.”

The little brown bear came riding by on a bicycle.

“Little brown bear,” the hedgehog extended his hand from behind his back, “I’ve got a surprise in my palm!”

“Oh, what is it?”

The little brown bear saw the small, dark round ball in the hedgehog’s palm.

“This is the surprise you’re talking about?”

“That’s right, little fox said it’s a surprise.”

“Hah, little fox loves to play tricks.” The little brown bear rang his bell and rode off.

The little squirrel came by on a skateboard.

“Little squirrel,” the hedgehog extended his hand from behind his back, “I’ve got a surprise in my palm.”

“Oh, what is it?”

The little squirrel saw the small, dark round ball in the hedgehog’s palm.

“This is the surprise you’re talking about?”

“That’s right, little fox said it’s a surprise.”

“Hah, little fox loves to play tricks.” The little squirrel slipped and skated away.

By the time the little white rabbit came, the hedgehog no longer wanted to share what surprise he had in his palm.

“Little hedgehog, what’s wrong?” the little white rabbit asked with concern, seeing the downcast hedgehog.

“I’ve got a surprise in my palm, a gift from the little fox,” the hedgehog said dejectedly. “But no one believes it.”

“Let me see!” the little white rabbit said sincerely.

In the hedgehog’s opened palm, the little white rabbit saw a small, dark round ball.

“It looks like a seed,” the little white rabbit said. “Why don’t we plant it together?”

Indeed!

The hedgehog had received a seed. This small, dark seed took root in the soil and sprouted.

After some time, beautiful flowers bloomed among the green leaves.

“It truly is a surprise,” the little white rabbit said with a smile.

“Yes, but some surprises require a bit more patience,” the hedgehog said with satisfaction. “We need to believe that it will come.”
