fairy tale: The Kingdom of Phoenix
Part One
In a distant realm, there existed a beautiful kingdom known as the Kingdom of Phoenix. This was home to the descendants of the phoenix.
In the Kingdom of Phoenix lived two stunning princesses. The elder princess was named Yiru, and the younger one was named Qianzi. Both princesses had inherited their mother Lady Lan’s beauty: they had shiny black hair, sapphire-like eyes, cherry-red lips, and skin as smooth and radiant as snow. They were talented in singing and dancing, proficient in both literature and martial arts, and excelled in playing musical instruments, calligraphy, painting, and poetry—skills unmatched throughout the kingdom.
In recent years, many countries had attempted to invade the Kingdom of Phoenix, desiring its splendor. However, they were all defeated by the Kingdom of Phoenix, which remained undefeated in numerous battles.
But one year ago, a nation named “Black Sorcery Kingdom” emerged. This kingdom was powerful, and the Kingdom of Phoenix faced several defeats at their hands. The Black Sorcery Kingdom became the Kingdom of Phoenix’s greatest enemy. The Black Sorcery Kingdom was inhabited by black sorcerers who wielded dark magic.
The morale of the Phoenix Kingdom’s soldiers greatly diminished, and the king had no choice but to send his daughters to fight. Yiru and Qianzi received the royal decree and immediately set off, donning golden armor and wielding the Phoenix and Phoenix swords to attack the Black Sorcery Kingdom.
Part Two
When the Black Sorcery Kingdom’s general, Black Sorcerer Nuo, saw them, he sneered, “Hah! The Phoenix Kingdom is so pathetic, they even sent their princesses.” The princesses would not tolerate such an insult to their kingdom. They donned their phoenix garments and began to fly.
The princesses raised their Phoenix swords and attacked Black Sorcerer Nuo, who used his dark magic to effortlessly capture them. Just as Black Sorcerer Nuo was about to kill the princesses, one of the Phoenix Kingdom’s sacred beasts—the Golden-Clad Phoenix—arrived to save them. The black sorcerers feared the sacred phoenix and fled. The princesses fell unconscious, and the Golden-Clad Phoenix carried them back to the Kingdom of Phoenix.
As the Golden-Clad Phoenix flew back to the kingdom, people were astonished. They knew that the sacred phoenix protected the kingdom, but no one had ever seen it or knew where it resided, not even the king. The Golden-Clad Phoenix stayed by the princesses for two hours, but they remained unconscious, and their hands and faces began to turn black. The phoenix realized that the princesses had been cursed by the black sorcerers.
Only with the help of the other sacred phoenixes could they be cured. The Golden-Clad Phoenix let out a long, resonant cry, and soon the other sacred phoenixes arrived: the Purple-Clad Phoenix, the Orange-Clad Phoenix, the Green-Clad Phoenix, the Blue-Clad Phoenix, the Red-Clad Phoenix, the Cyan-Clad Phoenix, and the Rainbow-Clad Phoenix. Their divine presence and beauty left everyone in awe.
The eight phoenixes spread their wings and began to channel phoenix energy into the princesses. Gradually, their complexion improved until they were fully healed. The sacred beasts waited for the princesses to awaken. When the princesses awoke, the phoenixes joyfully flapped their wings, and each sacred beast produced two peacock crystals for the princesses to consume. The princesses swallowed the crystals and were revitalized.
Part Three
Two days later, the princesses had fully recovered, and with the help of the peacock crystals, their abilities had further advanced. The day after, the princesses led an army of 100,000 elite soldiers to once again attack the Black Sorcery Kingdom. This time, Black Sorcerer Nuo came out to face them again. He was astonished to see that the princesses were unharmed despite his dark magic.
After all, his dark magic was second only to that of the Black Sorcery King. How could they be unscathed? The princesses laughed, “As princesses of the Phoenix Kingdom, how could we fight without the help of the sacred phoenixes?” Black Sorcerer Nuo was enraged and raised his dark magic sword to strike the princesses.
The princesses deftly dodged, and Yiru signaled to Qianzi. Qianzi understood and flanked Black Sorcerer Nuo from behind. The two princesses attacked from both sides and killed Black Sorcerer Nuo.
The soldiers of the Black Sorcery Kingdom rushed to inform their king, the Black Sorcery King. Furious, the Black Sorcery King grabbed his dark magic sword and stormed out. Indeed, the Black Sorcery King was formidable; with a single spell, he felled the entire army of 100,000 soldiers. Faced with a devastating defeat, the princesses were at a loss and had no choice but to continue fighting. Soon, the princesses began to struggle.
Suddenly, they heard a melodious flute. It turned out that Qianzi had thought of summoning the sacred phoenixes with the “Phoenix Order” tune. Shortly after, the eight phoenixes arrived. The Black Sorcery King, having never witnessed the power of the sacred phoenixes, showed no fear.
The princesses and the phoenixes joined forces to battle the Black Sorcery King. The Black Sorcery King gradually weakened and attempted to flee. The Black Sorcery Kingdom was reduced to only the Black Sorcery King, as all others had perished. If they let him escape, he would surely return one day with vengeance.
The Purple-Clad Phoenix soared into the air and fiercely flapped its wings, releasing six feathers that pierced through the Black Sorcery King’s body, killing him. The Black Sorcery Kingdom was completely defeated.
Upon returning to the Kingdom of Phoenix, the king held a celebration by the Phoenix River. On the day of the celebration, the princesses wore colorful feathered dresses, their long hair flowing down, adorned with phoenix crowns and phoenix hairpins, looking incredibly graceful and charming.
From then on, the Kingdom of Phoenix was never invaded again. All nations maintained friendly and harmonious relations, and no one wished to provoke another war. Peace reigned across the land.
