Educational story children: Where Did the Hill Go?

There was a small hill in front of Little Bear’s house, covered with dense woods, green grass, and colorful wildflowers. A clear stream flowed nearby. It was so beautiful! Little Bear loved playing on the hill.

One day, Little Bear and his friends went on a trip and had a great time. Later, Little Bear said goodbye to his friends and headed home. He walked and walked until he finally arrived at his house. But he was stunned. He couldn’t find the beautiful hill in front of his door. All that was left was a muddy stream.

A strong wind blew, and the dust in the air made it hard for Little Bear to open his eyes. He was very anxious. Where did the beautiful hill go?

Little Bear asked the old locust tree at his door, “Grandpa Locust Tree, did you drive away the beautiful hill?”

The old locust tree replied, “It wasn’t me. My roots can hold the soil firmly.”

Little Bear bowed his head and asked the grass at the tree’s base, “Little Grass, did you hide the beautiful hill?”

The grass replied, “My brothers and sisters grow on the hill and can protect the soil from being washed away by water.”

Little Bear shouted to a bird circling in the sky, “Big Bird, do you know where the beautiful hill went?”

The bird replied, “I don’t know. I only saw that a few days ago, many people came and cut down all the trees on the hill. My home is gone too, and I have to move.”

Little Bear went to the riverbank and asked a fish, “Little Fish, do you know where the beautiful hill went?”

The fish replied, “I don’t know. I only felt that since it rained heavily a few days ago, the water in the stream has become increasingly muddy. I can hardly breathe. I have to move.”

After listening to everyone, Little Bear sadly said, “The beautiful hill is gone. It looks like I have to move too.”
