Every time the little eagle soared through the sky, it always thought: “The green forest on the ground is so beautiful! How wonderful it would be if there was a forest in the sky, too!” So, it made up its mind: it would plant a cloud forest!
The eagle gathered seeds of trees and grass from the forest and scattered them on a cloud it liked. In the cloud, there was plenty of water and sunlight. Before long, the seeds took root in the cloud and sprouted. Soon, the trees grew tall, and the grass became lush. The white cloud truly put on a green robe.
There was now a green forest in the sky. The little eagle was overjoyed and wanted to invite all its friends to live in the cloud forest. “But the elephant, lion, monkey… none of them can fly!” The little eagle scratched its head, thinking and thinking, until finally, it had a great idea.
A few days later, the animals in the forest were surprised to see a long vine ladder hanging down from the sky, with fresh, tender leaves on it. When they stretched their necks to look up, they saw the little eagle standing on the ladder, holding a vine, weaving the ladder!
Everyone cheered with excitement, eager to experience life in the sky. The vine ladder was soon finished. One by one, the animals climbed up the ladder to the cloud forest, marveling at how extraordinary it was.
Now, there was a forest in the sky and one on the ground. Both forests were homes for the animals, and both were full of life and joy!
