Dog story: The Puppy’s Marks
It was the puppy’s first time visiting his grandmother’s house. His mother was worried he might get lost on the way back, so she advised him, “Don’t forget to leave marks along the way!”
“I got it, Mom.”
The puppy said goodbye to his mother and set off. As he passed by the vegetable garden, he stopped and peed on the fence.
A bunny on the lawn saw this and asked, “Puppy, why are you peeing here?”
The puppy replied, “I’m leaving a mark so that I won’t get lost when I come back from Grandma’s house.”
The puppy continued on his way. As he passed by the river, he stopped and peed on a big rock.
A frog in the river saw this and asked, “Puppy, why are you peeing here?”
The puppy replied, “I’m leaving a mark so that I won’t get lost when I come back from Grandma’s house.”
The puppy continued on his way. As he passed by the forest, he stopped and peed under a big tree.
A squirrel in the tree saw this, jumped down, and said, “Puppy, why are you peeing here?”
The puppy replied, “I’m leaving a mark so that I won’t get lost when I come back from Grandma’s house.”
The puppy continued on his way, and soon he arrived at his grandmother’s house.
“Grandma, I’ve come to see you.”
“Great! Great!”
The puppy played at his grandmother’s house all day, and in the evening, it was time to go home. He followed the original path back, stopping at each marked spot to sniff: “No doubt about it, this is the scent I left.”
“Mom, I’m back!”
The puppy returned home safely, and the whole family was so happy!
