courier story: Mr. Wind Delivers Parcels
Mr. Wind was always in a bad mood. Recently, he discovered that people were always avoiding him, which made him even more upset.
One day, Mr. Wind wandered aimlessly down the street, finding everything unpleasant. Sometimes he would whip up a cloud of dust, sending it flying everywhere; other times, he would tussle with the doors and windows of the houses by the roadside, making them creak and groan; or he would kick a small bucket by the road, startling the passersby.
Seeing Mr. Wind in a rage, people kept their distance from him.
“Hmph! What’s the big deal!” Mr. Wind grumbled, picking up a piece of paper from the ground and letting it float along with him in the air…
Hmm, a line of words on the paper caught Mr. Wind’s attention: “Friend, if you want to feel joy every day, join us at Tailwind Express!”
Mr. Wind stopped in his tracks.
At the entrance of the Tailwind Express company, a long line of applicants waited, and the interviewer, Boss Badger, was overwhelmed.
“I am a homing pigeon. I have a great sense of direction and can deliver parcels quickly and accurately.”
“Welcome, welcome! We need talents like you! Next!”
“I am an ostrich. I have long legs and can run very fast, delivering many parcels in a day.”
“Great! Looking forward to your performance! Next!”

Mr. Wind pushed open the door and walked straight to Boss Badger.
“Sir, how can I help you?” Boss Badger asked politely, tightening his windbreaker.
“I want to apply for a courier job to feel some joy!” Mr. Wind stated his purpose.
Boss Badger’s eyes lit up. Customers needed various delivery services, and with the wind delivering parcels, they could expand many new businesses.
“Just in time, we have an order that can bring joy. The children in the north have ordered snow. Please deliver the snow clouds there.”
Mr. Wind was in a hurry. He hadn’t familiarized himself with the delivery rules before taking the order. He grabbed the clouds and rushed out.
The children eagerly awaited the arrival of snow, but instead of snowflakes, a hailstorm came. It turned out Mr. Wind had taken the wrong clouds, scaring the children to tears.
Messing up the first order made Mr. Wind very frustrated.
Next was the second order. The city center was holding a celebration, and a large bundle of balloons needed to be delivered to the square. The location and items were correct, so Mr. Wind felt assured. But he wanted to take a shortcut, and as he carried the balloons through a high-voltage area, they all exploded.
Then came the third order, the fourth… After a month, Mr. Wind made many mistakes and received many complaints. Many customers said he was inexperienced, had a bad attitude, and always kicked up dust when rushing. When delivering parcels, he would drop them and leave.
No wonder, Mr. Wind was always in a hurry. Sometimes, there were too many parcels, and Mr. Wind got so anxious that he spun around in circles, sending the parcels flying, and they all fell and broke.
Not feeling any joy from delivering parcels, Mr. Wind decided to quit.
Boss Badger looked at Mr. Wind’s resignation letter and said, “You care too much about the results and miss out on many other things! How about this? Help me with one last delivery. It’s an order from Miss Spring. Please deliver the message of spring to her friends!”
Ah, Mr. Wind then noticed that spring had quietly arrived. He had been so busy rushing around that he hadn’t noticed!
This time, Mr. Wind slowed his pace, caressing the tender green grass, smelling the intoxicating flowers, and listening to the cheerful song of the streams…
“Knock, knock, knock,” he tapped on the doors of the hibernating animals. Little Frog, Little Hedgehog, Little Bear… one by one, they all woke up.
“Miss Spring’s parcel has been delivered. Please sign for it!” Mr. Wind said gently.
The animals looked outside and saw the gurgling river, the lush green meadows, and the colorful flowers… What a beautiful spring! Smiles spread across the faces of all the animals.
“Mr. Wind, thank you for delivering such a wonderful parcel. It’s simply fantastic!” everyone said.
Indeed, it was fantastic! Mr. Wind felt truly joyful for the first time.
Mr. Wind withdrew his resignation letter. He loved seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces when they received their parcels. It was truly mesmerizing!
Throughout the year, Mr. Wind’s delivery orders never stopped. He brought the fragrance of spring, the longing of autumn, the coolness of summer, and the snowy scenes of winter, along with New Year’s wishes!
He felt the joy of others and experienced the joy from within himself!
