Concave and Convex Mirrors: Two Puppies

In Dog Village, there were two puppies, one named Yellow Fur and the other named Flower Fur. They were the same size and equally strong, and whenever they fought, it always ended in a draw. As a result, neither of them respected the other, and they never got along.

The Puppy Mirror

One day, Yellow Fur and Flower Fur left Dog Village together to visit the county town. On the way, they ran into each other but just snorted, held their heads high, and went their separate ways.

Yellow Fur arrived at the entrance of an internet cafe. At the corner of the building, he saw a huge monster approaching him. Yellow Fur was startled and jumped back in fright. Strangely, the monster seemed just as scared and also jumped back. Yellow Fur’s curiosity was piqued, and he approached to take a closer look. To his surprise, the monster also moved closer, and their noses almost touched.

At that moment, Yellow Fur suddenly realized that the monster in the mirror was actually himself! He almost burst out laughing. He hadn’t realized how strong he looked and felt a great sense of pride, thinking about showing off when he got home.

Meanwhile, Flower Fur had gone to a shopping mall and saw a completely different sight: a tiny, pathetic “mouse dog” was wobbling slowly towards him. Flower Fur thought it was amusing and walked over for a closer look, intending to play a trick on the little thing. Strangely, the “mouse dog” was not afraid and walked towards him, mimicking his actions.

Flower Fur tilted his head, and the “mouse dog” did the same. Flower Fur took a closer look and was horrified to realize that the tiny thing was actually his own reflection! Flower Fur had never imagined he was so small. He was very upset and lost all interest in playing, heading home in low spirits.

The two puppies, each preoccupied with their own thoughts, met again on the way home. Yellow Fur, with his head held high and an air of arrogance, believed he was the strongest dog in the world. As for Flower Fur, he saw Yellow Fur coming from a distance and was already trembling with fear. Suddenly, he turned around and ran for his life.

In fact, neither puppy’s appearance had changed at all; what had changed was their mindset, all because of the concave and convex mirrors. The proud Yellow Fur had looked into a concave mirror, while the fleeing Flower Fur had looked into a convex mirror.
