cloud grew in the garden

There was a mischievous cloud, who was always careless while strolling in the sky. It looked around everywhere, and finally, one day, it lost its footing and with a “plop,” fell down from the sky. Luckily, since clouds are soft and light, it didn’t get hurt.

Suddenly, the mischievous cloud smelled a strong fragrance. It looked down and realized it had fallen into a beautiful garden! The garden belonged to Grandma Bear, who quickly adjusted her reading glasses. “Is something wrong with my eyes? It looks like a cloud is growing in my garden!”

“A cloud is growing in Grandma Bear’s garden!” Before long, all the animals in the forest had come to see it. They touched the cloud’s chubby body, squeezed its soft, fluffy cheeks, and even licked its cool, misty skin with their tongues. The animals were so enthusiastic; they all chatted with the cloud, and soon became good friends.

The cloud wandered curiously around the forest. It saw Baby Bunny learning to walk, but there were so many small stones on the dirt path that Baby Bunny kept falling and had scraped her knees, crying in pain. The cloud quickly went over, lay down on the ground, and said, “Walk on me! I promise you won’t get hurt.” Baby Bunny carefully stepped onto the cloud. It was cool and soft, so comfortable! She boldly took a few more steps and wasn’t afraid of falling anymore.

The cloud was happily swimming in the creek when suddenly it heard cries of “Help! Help!” It turned out that some little chicks, chasing each other along the creek bank, had accidentally fallen into the water. The cloud quickly transformed itself into a boat, carrying the chicks safely to shore. Mother Hen thanked the cloud again and again.

The cloud returned to the garden, where Grandma Bear was frowning at her roses. It hadn’t rained in a long time, and the flowers looked droopy. Grandma Bear was too old to have the strength to water them. The cloud said, “Watch me!” It twisted and turned, and soon a gentle rain fell in the garden. The roses perked up, smiling brightly, and bloomed more beautifully and fragrantly than ever!

Everyone loved this helpful cloud, and the cloud enjoyed being in the lively forest. But after a while, it started to miss the sky and its parents. “This time, let us help you!” Grandma Bear, along with a big group of animal friends, made a huge kite. One day, when a strong wind blew, they tied the kite’s long string around the cloud’s waist. The cloud waved goodbye to everyone as it slowly floated back up into the sky.

Now, the animals often sit in Grandma Bear’s garden, looking up into the sky for that smiling cloud. “Look, look, there’s our cloud!” they shout, waving, hoping the cloud will come back to visit them again!
