Children’s tale moral: Fragrant Little Star

Ya Ya looks so pretty today. Look! She is wearing a pink frilled dress with a big bow and a chubby little bear on it. The bear even has a little star on its head.

“Ya Ya, you look so beautiful!” The kids ran over to surround her. Some touched the frills on her dress, some pulled at her big bow, and others poked the bear’s nose.

Du Du also ran over. He touched the bear’s face and its round ears.

Huh? What was that sticky thing on his hand? Du Du opened his palm and saw it was the little star from the bear’s head.

“This star is so pretty, I’ll play with it for a while before giving it back to Ya Ya.” Du Du took the little star, looking at it from left to right, liking it more and more. He put the little star in his pocket.

Du Du’s pocket was full of things. There was half a milk biscuit left over from the morning, a piece of chocolate candy given to him by Wen Wen, and a small red flower awarded by the teacher. Now, there was also a little star.

It was time for a nap. Du Du took off his jacket and placed it on the bed. Oops, the little star jumped out of the pocket, and Du Du quickly grabbed it. “I want to play with it a bit more.”

Du Du lay under the blanket, playing with the little star. Huh? Where did that fragrance come from? Du Du sniffed the little star and found out it was the source of the fragrance. It was covered with biscuit crumbs, making it smell delightful.

“So fragrant! I want to smell it while I sleep.” Du Du placed the little star on his nose and closed his eyes.

Oh no, as Du Du inhaled, the little star jumped into his nostril and slid inside. Du Du felt very uncomfortable and started to cry in fear.

The teacher came over, and so did the other kids. “Du Du, what’s wrong?” “The little star, it went into my nose,” Du Du cried.

“Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, don’t sniff anymore, we’ll get the doctor to help,” the teacher said, taking Du Du to the doctor. The doctor took out a pair of sharp tweezers and spent a long time before finally pulling the little star out.

“Small things shouldn’t be played with,” the doctor told Du Du. “And they shouldn’t be near your nose, mouth, or ears because if they accidentally slide in, it can be dangerous.” “Yes, I understand,” Du Du nodded.

And what about the little star? The teacher taped it to the wall where everyone could see it. The little star looked just as pretty there as it did on the bear.
