Children’s Story Frog
One summer day, the frog family had just finished building their new house and hung a big red flower on the door to celebrate.
Suddenly, the sky began to pour down rain. The three frog brothers quickly put on their hats, ran out of the house, and started scooping water over the stone fence with ladles and buckets. However, the youngest frog was just moving his mouth without doing any work, hugging the house and crying, “Dear house, how miserable you are!”
The two older brothers shouted loudly, “Croak croak, what’s the use of crying? Come and help us quickly!”
Hearing this, the youngest frog snapped out of it, stopped crying, and joined in to help. The three frogs tirelessly scooped water over the stone fence. But the water didn’t recede; it kept rising!
At this moment, the youngest frog had a sudden idea and excitedly said, “The water isn’t receding because of the stone fence. Our house is built at the highest point, so as long as the fence doesn’t block the rainwater’s path, there won’t be any flooding. Therefore, we must knock down the stone fence!”
The other two frogs praised him repeatedly, “Great idea, let’s get to work immediately!” So the three brothers pushed against the stone fence with all their might, their eyes nearly popping out from the effort. Push, push, push… With a crash, the fence fell, and the water flowed out, saving the house! The three frog brothers cheered happily.
