Children’s story about animals

A little ant was walking when it suddenly started to rain heavily.

Oh no, the rain is so heavy. Where should I hide? He saw a mushroom nearby and hid under the mushroom umbrella. The rain kept pouring down harder and harder. A butterfly crawled over and said to the little ant, “Look, I’m completely soaked and can’t fly. Let me hide from the rain here too!”

“There’s barely enough room for just me! But, alright, come and give it a try!” said the little ant.

So, the mushroom umbrella now sheltered a butterfly as well. The rain became even heavier.

A mouse passed by and asked to squeeze in too. A little sparrow also came to take shelter from the rain.

Later, a little rabbit showed up.

“A fox is chasing me, I need to hide with you guys.”

Everyone squeezed together and made room for the little rabbit.

Sure enough, the fox came and asked, “Have you seen a rabbit?”

“No, we haven’t,” everyone answered in unison.

The fox got closer, sniffed with his sharp nose, and asked, “Isn’t he hiding here?”

“See for yourself, is there any space left?” they replied.

The fox shook his big tail and left.

The rain stopped, and the sun came out. Everyone came out from under the mushroom umbrella.

The little ant said, “At first, I thought there wasn’t enough room for just me. But later, we added the butterfly, the mouse, the little sparrow, and even the rabbit, and it still wasn’t too crowded. How is that possible?”

A little frog, who had been sitting on top of the mushroom, laughed. He said, “Little ant, why don’t you look up at the umbrella that’s been sheltering you?”

Ah, the small mushroom had quietly grown into a big mushroom during the heavy rain! (The End)
