Children’s stories about friendship

The little squirrel had started elementary school, but it still hadn’t matured and often behaved very childishly. One day, on the way to school, it met a little kitten. Seeing the little kitten, the little squirrel proudly said, “Look at my backpack, it’s so much nicer than yours.” Hearing this, the little kitten replied, “A backpack is for carrying books. What’s the use of just being pretty?” The two of them started arguing.

When they arrived at school, the other classmates were already there. Some were sweeping the floor, and some were cleaning the blackboard, but the little squirrel sat at its seat eating snacks. The little white rabbit asked it to help with the chores, but the little squirrel said, “I’m here to study, not to do chores. Why should I do any work?” Hearing this, the little white rabbit thought it was very selfish.

During gym class, the little animals were all playing on the playground. The little puppy accidentally sprained its leg, and everyone came to help, but the little squirrel said, “It’s its own fault for just playing around. It serves it right. It’s not a big deal, it’ll be fine soon. Everyone, don’t listen to its fussing!” Hearing this, everyone thought the little squirrel was simply cold-hearted.

After experiencing these incidents, the little squirrel didn’t have any good friends around it; no one liked to associate with it. Thus, the little squirrel became very lonely, but it didn’t understand why. Later, the teacher helped the little squirrel realize its mistakes. After recognizing its errors, the little squirrel became compassionate and often helped others. Before long, it had many friends around it!
