Children’s dragon story
Little Dragon Happy is a very happy dragon.
One day, Little Dragon Happy and his dad were watching the stars on the hillside when they saw a shooting star fly by. Happy said, “Let me make a wish.” Because Little Dragon had heard that if you make a wish when a shooting star flies overhead, your wish will come true.
Little Dragon’s wish was, “Let me have a magical tree that can bear all sorts of wonderful fruits that make me happy.”
Many days passed, but the magical tree never appeared, and Little Dragon soon forgot about it.
Then one day, on Little Dragon’s third birthday, his mom lit the birthday candles for him. As he was blowing out the candles, his mom said, “Make a wish, maybe it will come true.”
Little Dragon quietly made a wish: “Let me have a magical tree that can bear all sorts of wonderful fruits that make me happy.”
After making his wish, Little Dragon blew out the candles.
Days passed after eating the birthday cake, but the magical tree still hadn’t appeared. Little Dragon asked his dad and mom what was going on.
Dad said, “Making a wish is one thing, but you also have to work hard yourself for it to come true!”
Later on, Little Dragon planted a tree in the yard himself. However, it was just an ordinary lychee tree. Little Dragon kept watering and fertilizing the tree. Soon, the tree grew, and it was covered with sweet lychees.
Little Dragon invited his good friends over to eat lychees.
What sweet lychees they were! Everyone ate happily.
Friends also brought all sorts of gifts for Little Dragon, gifts that made him very happy.
Holding a big pile of gifts, Little Dragon said to his dad and mom, “My wish has come true. I have a magical tree and a group of wonderful friends. Look, what amazing fruits my tree has borne!”
Dad and Mom smiled and said, “Our Little Dragon has grown up. He can achieve his wonderful wishes through his own efforts.”
