Children story dinosaur
In our story, this dragon is actually a small dinosaur. He’s only one year old, but in a week, he’ll be two because the New Year is just around the corner.
Though the little dinosaur is just one year old, he is already two meters long.
One day, the little dinosaur was flipping through a picture book when he saw a long dragon with horns on its head flying among the clouds. The little dinosaur went to ask his mother, “Mom, how can this dragon fly?”
“This isn’t a real dragon. It’s an imagined dragon that you can only see in pictures.”
“Are we real dragons?”
“Of course, we dinosaurs are part of a large family, and we have dragons in our family that can fly, called pterosaurs, which are dragons with wings.”
“Then why don’t I have wings?”
“Because neither your father nor I have wings. Neither did your grandparents on either side.”
“Is that the only reason?” the little dinosaur asked, feeling very disappointed.
“That’s the reason. Haven’t you seen Grandpa Dragon next door? He’s a 99-year-old dinosaur who also wants to see the sky, but after 99 years, he still hasn’t succeeded. Our family just doesn’t have wings.”
The little dinosaur felt very bored and went off to watch TV alone.
On TV, he saw an advertisement: “On a planet outside Earth, there’s a company that makes wings for everyone, enabling anyone to fly.”
The little dinosaur quickly ran to the computer, contacted the company on that distant planet, and ordered a pair of wings specifically made for dinosaurs. He even sent all his pocket money that he had saved for a year.
On the evening before the New Year, he received the ordered wings, a pair of large and beautiful wings.
The little dinosaur was overjoyed and wanted to put the wings on right away.
Suddenly, he thought of Grandpa Dragon next door. Grandpa Dragon would turn 100 tomorrow. He had wanted to fly for almost a hundred years. He should give the wings to Grandpa Dragon first. With this thought, the little dinosaur placed the magical wings at Grandpa Dragon’s door with a note saying: “A New Year’s gift from the aliens to Grandpa Dragon.”
On New Year’s Day, the little dinosaur got up very early.
He immediately opened the window to look at the sky.
Ah, the little dinosaur saw it, he saw Grandpa Dragon wearing the wings, flying high in the sky, happy as a child.
The little dinosaur’s eyes welled up with tears, and he excitedly said:
“This is my first happy event of the New Year!”
