Children Story about Rabbit and Egg

Little rabbit La found an egg in the bushes. He liked it very much and gave it a nice name—”Baby Egg.”

La made a very comfortable bed for his “Baby Egg.” Before going to sleep at night, he would sing the best songs to the “Baby Egg.” La told his mother that this was prenatal education, just like when he was in his mother’s belly and she sang to him, which is why he is so smart now.

Hearing that La found an egg, Mrs. Hen hurried over: “La, did you find my egg?”

“What does your egg look like?” La tightly held the “Baby Egg” in his arms.

“A red shell, the same size as all other chicken eggs.” Mrs. Hen thought for a moment and gestured with her hands.

“It’s not yours!” La showed the “Baby Egg” to Mrs. Hen. It was a bluish-white, large egg.

“Oh! This isn’t an egg I laid. My eggs are the most delicate in the village.” Relieved, Mrs. Hen clucked and went home.

“A bluish-white, large egg; it must be my egg!” Mama Duck heard Mrs. Hen’s description and waddled over anxiously.

“Oh dear! Where’s my egg?” Without even looking at La’s “Baby Egg,” Mama Duck started searching the whole house.

“Is it this one?” La showed the “Baby Egg” to Mama Duck. It was bluish-white, large, and round.

“Wrong! Wrong! The eggs I lay are beautiful and oval-shaped, and much smaller than this.” Relieved, Mama Duck quacked and went home.

Aunt Turtle slowly crawled over and asked from a distance, “La, where did you find that egg?”

“Aunt Turtle, I found it in the bushes in the forest ahead!” La shouted back to her.

“Oh! Then it’s not my baby egg. My baby egg is sleeping under the sand on the beach!” Aunt Turtle said and then slowly turned around to crawl back.

“‘Baby Egg,’ who laid you?” La happily murmured to himself while holding the “Baby Egg,” “I hope a little crocodile hatches out of the shell. What would he call me? Maybe daddy, or brother, or maybe he would loudly call me La, and he would become my good friend. Haha!

Then everyone wouldn’t call me timid La anymore, but would say, look! That’s brave La and his crocodile friend.”

La liked his “Baby Egg” very much and took it with him wherever he went.

One day, the panda curator of the Forest Museum heard about it and thought it might be a dinosaur egg fossil. So he hurriedly drove to La’s house.

“This is indeed a very rare dinosaur egg fossil!” The panda curator said in surprise, holding La’s “Baby Egg.”

La’s “Baby Egg” turned out to be a real treasure. The panda curator prepared to take it back to the museum. Before leaving, he praised La in front of everyone for taking such good care of the fossil and awarded him a large certificate of honor.

Now, La sometimes still thinks about his “Baby Egg.” Although it is just a fossil egg, many, many years ago, it was once a real dinosaur egg. Thinking of this, La would proudly smile.
