Cat children’s tale

The Watermelon Cat has deep green fur, adorned with black stripes, making it look just like a watermelon.

The Watermelon Cat loves eating watermelon but doesn’t know how to grow them.

When watermelons ripen, the Watermelon Cat hides in the watermelon field planted by the little pig, curling up into a ball. From a distance, it looks exactly like a watermelon. The Watermelon Cat eats watermelon, consuming even the rind and seeds, so the confused little pig never notices the missing watermelons.

One day, the little pig loaded a truck with watermelons to take to the city. The Watermelon Cat was thrilled, thinking, “I’ll hide in the truck and go to the city with the watermelons. That way, I can have some fun in the city.”

The little pig drove to a food processing factory, where workers unloaded the watermelons and dumped them into a large pool.

The Watermelon Cat washed itself in the pool along with the watermelons, thinking, “This feels great!” It then followed the watermelons into a big barrel. Peeking out from the edge of the barrel, the Watermelon Cat was startled to see watermelons rolling into a pipe one after another, emerging as watermelon juice and jam.

The Watermelon Cat quickly jumped out of the barrel and ran as fast as it could. As it escaped the factory, it heard the gatekeeper shouting, “A watermelon has escaped! A watermelon has escaped!” People nearby laughed at him, saying,

“How can a watermelon run? You must be seeing things.”

The Watermelon Cat roamed around the city and discovered that there were no watermelon fields, and that people in the city had to buy watermelons. To eat watermelons, the Watermelon Cat realized it needed to find a way to earn money.

The Watermelon Cat went to a circus, where the boss, a chimpanzee, agreed to let it stay on a trial basis.

The circus bear magician used the Watermelon Cat for magic tricks: turning a watermelon into a cat and a cat into a watermelon.

Once, during a magic show, an audience member stood up and said, “Cut the transformed watermelon open so we can taste it.”

The Watermelon Cat started trembling with fear.

“Help!” it shouted as it ran out of the circus.

The Watermelon Cat then took a job advertising for “Watermelon Brand” balls, rolling around in a shop window until it felt dizzy.

The Watermelon Cat began to miss the countryside and the little pig’s watermelon field.

Returning to the countryside, the Watermelon Cat went to the little pig’s watermelon field and said, “I’ll work for you if you just give me watermelons to eat.”

The little pig agreed, and the Watermelon Cat started learning how to grow watermelons.

Eventually, the Watermelon Cat grew a vast field of watermelons, more than it could ever eat. It felt truly happy! Moreover, the Watermelon Cat no longer had to worry about anyone stealing its watermelons, because with the Watermelon Cat in the field, no one could tell the difference between the watermelons and the Watermelon Cat. With it guarding the field, who would dare to steal any watermelons?
