Bedtime stories for children
At the foot of the mountain, the small wooden house is Mother Goose’s home.
In front of Mother Goose’s house, not a single blade of grass grew. Uncle Bear’s car drove by, raising a cloud of dust. Oh, if only there were a grassy field!
Uncle Wind came, bringing many seeds and scattering them on the bare ground. Soon, a lush green meadow grew there. Mother Goose and her children played games on the grass.
In the summer, the sun shone fiercely. In front of Mother Goose’s house, there was no shady place at all. It was so hot! Oh, if only there were a big tree!
Grandpa Woodpecker flew by, carrying a seed in his beak, which fell into the soil. Soon, a big tree grew there. Little birds perched on the tree and sang, while Mother Goose and her children cooled off in its shade.
Mother Goose and her children hadn’t had a bath in a long time. Oh, if only there were a small river!
Auntie Rain came, and a heavy downpour fell continuously. A clear, sparkling river formed there. Mother Goose and her children often bathed in the river, it was wonderful!
Oh, Mother Goose and her children lived in this beautiful environment, how lovely it was!
