Ball Pig Mibaba
Mibaba is a little pig who loves to eat. “Chomp, chomp!” Whenever people hear that sound, they know Mibaba is eating something again!
Day after day, Mibaba grew fatter and fatter, until its whole body became round like a ball. One day, Mibaba went with everyone to climb a hill. Everyone climbed quickly and easily, but Mibaba was struggling. It huffed and puffed, panting heavily, and fell far behind the others.
Everyone said, “That’s because Mibaba is too fat!”
Suddenly, Mibaba started rolling straight down the hill.
“Oh no!” Everyone looked back, shouting in panic.
At the bottom of the hill was a very deep valley. Everyone was terrified, thinking, “If Mibaba falls down there, it won’t survive!” They hurried after Mibaba to try and save it, but Mibaba was rolling too fast. It looked smaller and smaller in the distance…
Then, suddenly, it stopped rolling. It turned out a tree on the slope had caught it.
“That’s Mibaba’s lifesaving tree!” Everyone rushed over and said.
Another day, Mibaba was walking down the street when a man followed it for a long, long time. The man was staring at Mibaba and said, “What a fat little pig! It would be perfect for making roast piglet!”
A little bird overheard the man’s thoughts and quickly flew to warn Mibaba: “Mibaba, run! Someone wants to turn you into roast piglet!”
Mibaba was so scared that it started shaking all over. In a panic, it ran wildly and crashed into Grandpa Elephant’s house. Grandpa Elephant was a kind old fellow, and he hid Mibaba. The man couldn’t find Mibaba and eventually had to leave.
From that day on, Mibaba never dared to be greedy again!
