Ants Story: Under the Walnut Tree

In a quiet little village, there was an ancient walnut tree. This tree had been growing there for many years, its branches spreading out like a giant umbrella. In the summer, its leaves provided shade for the small animals; in the autumn, its fruits became delicious food for them.

Under this walnut tree lived a group of hardworking ants. They were busy from dawn till dusk, collecting food for their family. The ants were very united and believed that as long as they worked together, they could overcome any difficulties.

One day, a particularly large walnut fell from the tree. This walnut was like a giant hill to the ants. They gathered around it, discussing and unsure of what to do.

One little ant stepped forward and said, “We can’t give up. This walnut is enough to feed our entire family for the whole winter. If we work together, we can surely move it back home.”

So the ants began to take action. Some pushed, some pulled, some bit, and some carried. Although they tried their best, the walnut was simply too large for the ants. After a whole day of effort, the ants were exhausted, and the walnut still hadn’t moved.

Then a clever little ant stood up and said, “This walnut is too big for us to move. Let’s think of another way. I think if we build our home here, we can conveniently eat the walnut.”

The ants thought this was a good idea.

Some of them dug an ant nest under the walnut, while others drilled holes in the walnut shell facing the nest entrance.

When winter came, their nest was ready. The big walnut had also been bitten into a small hole.

The ants held a grand celebration. They danced happily around the walnut, sharing the joy in their hearts.

Later, the walnut was eaten until only the shell was left, and they turned the walnut shell into a castle.
