A couple deeply in love went on a vacation, rowing a small wooden boat on the sea. Suddenly, they noticed a shark following their boat, closing in fast.
The boy picked up a knife, pointed it at the girl, and told her to jump into the water, saying, “Only one of us can survive.”
The girl’s mind went blank. Just yesterday, the boy had promised to protect, love, and care for her for a lifetime.
Heartbroken, she closed her eyes and jumped into the sea. She felt that life had lost its meaning and she no longer believed in love. She cursed the boy.
After a while, the girl opened her eyes and realized she wasn’t dead. The shark hadn’t followed her. Panicking, she searched for the shark. At the stern of the boat, she saw the shark and a pool of blood. In the blood, the boy was struggling desperately.
The boy hadn’t noticed the girl, but she gave him a gentle smile before swimming toward the shore.
Upon reaching the shore, the girl saw a fisherman crying. She approached him and asked why.
After hearing the fisherman’s story, the girl cried and jumped back into the sea, ignoring the calls from people on the shore. She drowned.
The fisherman had told her that after she jumped into the water, the boy immediately followed and slashed his wrist with the knife, causing a large pool of blood. The shark, drawn by the smell of blood, attacked the boy instead.
