A Love Story of Two Hedgehogs

Two hedgehogs in the forest fell deeply in love. He and she chased and played in the snow, letting their intense love burn brightly in the white, vast world.

Winter was extremely cold, especially at night. They longed to embrace each other for warmth.

However, when they tightly embraced, a sudden sharp pain spread throughout their bodies. They had both been pricked by the other’s quills.

Drops of blood stained the white ground, like blooming roses.

They cried out and fled, staring at each other from a distance with tears in their eyes. They were heartbroken, unable to understand why their love could cause such pain to the one they loved most.

She began to avoid him, wandering aimlessly through the forest, but her mind was filled with his image, so real and deeply etched into her heart. Meanwhile, he, like an ant on a hot stove, searched frantically for her, calling out her name with all his might…

She couldn’t leave the forest, for it was their home. She could only wander endlessly within it. Yet, she longed to see him so much! She desperately wanted to throw herself into his arms and tell him how much she loved him…

Eventually, she came up with an idea: she removed all her quills, one by one.

Drops of blood stained the white ground, like blooming roses.

When they finally met in the depths of the forest, he could hardly recognize her. Her sharp, gleaming quills were all gone, her smooth skin oozing red blood, resembling a burning fireball. He felt the world spin, his heart breaking into a thousand pieces, tears blurring his vision, and his own quills began to tremble, trembling…

She knew she was dying and desperately wanted him to hold her one last time. She staggered towards him, but he shook his head in agony and turned away in despair—he didn’t want her to bleed in his arms!

With her last breath, she tried to catch up to him…

This is a story without an ending.

Dear friends, if you deeply love someone and they deeply love you in return, please remember: do not hurt yourself, for it will equally hurt the one you love.
