A Bright Morning

One sunny morning, Mama Kangaroo was carrying her baby kangaroo to the market to buy groceries. Along the way, they chatted and laughed, having a wonderful time. Soon, they arrived at the market. Wow, there were so many vegetables! There were shiny purple eggplants, golden pumpkins, green cucumbers, and lively seafood—everything you could imagine. Mama Kangaroo and her baby were amazed, liking everything they saw. They ended up buying lots and lots of groceries, enough to fill two big bags.

I Can Walk on My Own

Mama Kangaroo carried the groceries and her baby as they headed home. They hadn’t walked far when Mama Kangaroo started to feel out of breath, with large beads of sweat dripping down her face, and her pace slowed. At that moment, the baby in her arms noticed that her mom was very, very tired. She thought, “If I keep letting Mom carry me, she’ll be exhausted. No, I need to walk on my own.” So she quickly said, “Mom, I’ve grown up now. I want to try walking by myself. Can I give it a try?” Mama Kangaroo looked at her thoughtful baby and smiled with satisfaction. She gently put her baby down and softly said, “Baby, walk slowly and be careful not to fall.” The baby jumped onto the road and followed her mom closely. As she walked, she even sang songs for her mom! The baby’s beautiful singing melted away her mom’s fatigue, and Mama Kangaroo couldn’t help but hum along. They sang all the way home, full of joy.

The Baby’s Stars

Since the day I planted my baby’s stars (Gypsophila), I’ve made sure to show the seeds to the sun. If it was raining, I would bring them back inside to keep them from getting wet.

After a few days, the little shoots started poking out of the soil. I had to give them some water, then place them in the sun to bask again!

I watered them often and made sure they got enough sunlight. Under my careful care, their roots grew longer and longer, but the process was very slow.

Mom said, “They are like your children, and you must protect them well.” I replied, “Got it.”

The seeds drank water when they needed it and bathed in the sunlight when they wanted. How happy and joyful my seeds lived!
